The Dremel 8220 is the most powerful cordless rotary tool from the company. Being battery-operated, it will work great but last only 15 minutes or so on a single charge. It comes with a fast charger that juices up batteries in an hour flat. Think of it as the cordless version of the 4300.

8220 is the best choice if you are looking for a versatile cordless rotary tool that supports Dremel accessories like cutting and grinding wheels. As a battery-powered device, it will not give you the same power as a corded tool, but it is powerful in its own right. At this point, you may be thinking that swapping out batteries will allow you to work non-stop. While this is true, it is also not the purpose of a battery-powered tool.
